What’d you work on today?

Our Chow mix didn't care about weather, she slept on the deck rain or snow. I'd come home in the morning after night shift could be 35-40 below she'd be on the deck waiting for me. Does she have a black tongue?
Yes on black tongue, I think the fact she was tied up outside in the rain has a lot to do with her not liking rain but she did just go outside to potty in light rain

I was told that it is impossible to do a clean install of the transfer tube to the swirl pot on a Lotus Europa modified for a single DCOE Weber.
The original tube passes right where the Weber now sits.
This passes under the Weber.
Disappointed this tube did not bend smoother over about 40º but happy to get it done in one piece.
I was even able to use some of the blue silicon feeBay hose the owner bought.

What does the tube transfer oil, coolant? is it high pressure?

Two long transfer tubes run the full length of the car.
Radiator is offset in the nose.
One long tube runs to the water pump.
The other goes to the swirl-pot, which is the high point so the system can be bled of air.
Cannot use the original short connector tube with the Weber fitted, this one passes under the Weber.
Kind of annoying that I will be test driving this Europa long before my own turns a wheel.

I think I understand what it does now 👍

Ummm, you're just like the rest of us Rick, eyes are going bad (along with everything else) and can't see shit anymore.

YOLO (You Only Live Once) so live each day like it's your last and you'll never go wrong.

I'm on 1,637+ days since my youngest turned 18, so every day for me is a gift.
Damn, I think I ordered rotors for 6 lug not 8  guess I'll find out tomorrow

Ordering these Detroit Axle brakes, be here 23-26th I put my old prescription glasses on 🙄 I cancelled the other set

Advance won't honor warranties. Bought 2 batteries for my F250 and when they crapped out they refused to honor the 4 year warranty I paid for. Said they changed the policy. I'll never shop there again.
I broke down on a job a cpl weeks ago and AAA was a 2-3 hr wait, Advanced auto parts was 3 blocks away so I pulled the old batt carried over there and bought a new Diehard Gold with I think a 3 yr Free replacement, wonder what'll happen if it fails before the 3 yrs? second thought even cheapo batteries usually last 3 yrs, the $87 Electro made it 3 yrs, would've got another one of those but that's too far to walk carrying a battery

Yeah, most places only give a 3 year max warranty with batteries now, but when I bought the batteries for the truck, I paid like and extra $100 for the 4 year warranty and they wouldn't honor it.

I'm sure those big truck batteries weren't cheap either, Advanced seems awfully proud of their batteries

As I recall, it was like $500 for the pair at Advanced. I ended up at OReilly's and bought their 3 year batteries for $350, and those crapped out after 2.5 years (after I gave the truck to my son), and OReilly's honored it, even stayed later than closing time to meet my son and get him new batteries (and they installed them too). Good people.

I buy Odyssey AGMs for the Excursion, they have the highest CCA and IMO last the longest. Diesels are hard on batteries and best practice is to replace them both at the same time.

I bought an Odyssey battery for my Harley and only got 2 yrs out of it, this was before I started using Deltran Battery Tender Jr's

While working on the Excursions interior for the past week I have kept a battery tender on it just to make sure they stay up to full strength, it is a good practice to use one.

I keep one on each of my Harleys and a Viking trickle/boost smart charger on the Chevelle, I bought another smart trickle charger while on sale but haven't used it yet, I'm a believer in trickle chargers, batteries have got like everything else, Over Priced

Cancelled these and ordered AC Delco Gold Black Hat rotors, haven’t ordered pads yet but I’m going to look for AC Delco, ever had one of those times trying to order a part and turns into a Clusterfuck?
