2005 Vibe Repairs

Old fog lights, new headlights. Others were very clouded, original. I tried cleaning them and they just yellowed out again.

Wreck damage fixed, including wheel. It needs tires bad and before daughter gets it back it will have a new set. Needs an alignment check too.

Whole car needs a polish and clean up. Daughter is coming home Friday and will want her car, she is not getting it until I say it is ready.

I might spray my whole 68 Camaro with a rattle can after seeing this. Nice job !
Thank You! It is not perfect but car has almost 300,000 miles on it. Car parks at college in a parking deck, I just want her to have something reliable and safe. I have owned it since new and I know how reliable this car is. As for safety it is a very rare AWD model that is awesome in bad weather.

Did those rattle cans have activators or hardeners in them? Is the paint really soft?
That I can't answer. I know it is Stage 1 paint. I have used these paints on my Chevelles and have never had issues. The Stage 1 makes it not as shiny but in this application it is perfect because the car was painted from the factory in Stage 1 paint.

Old tires were worn out and chunking, all in 15K miles! Discount Tire gave me a huge prorate and I bought 4 Continental 80K mile tires with a $70 rebate, out the door $420.

Car is back at the college.

I am not a body shop guy but it is time to learn how to paint.

Daughter brought the car home this weekend. I installed the hood insulation, fender isolator and new right headlight. Replaced the lamp in 20 minutes, included partial bumper removal. I backed it out of the garage, and aimed the headlamps, man were they off. I call the job done.

Just replaced the front door speakers, IDK if the right one was blown but it sounded bad, may have been a bad connection in the dash too. Oh well, daughter has 2 new Kenwoods to crank up. Toyota riveted their speaker into the door, have never seen that before. Vibe came with a Moon and Tunes package, has a subwoofer in the back and with an after market HU, it really cranks.

Odometer hit the mechanical limit. Don't fret, I have a replacement cluster for it with 165,000 miles showing.

Why did Toyota ever put a limit on the odometers is beyond me.
