agreed if I had chickens I'd have to defend them too. Someone said they are nicknamed the farmers friends.There was a dead bird on the lawn one night. I came back about a couple hours later and everything but the head was gone.
As far as the cars are concerned they don't bother them. Watch this Cowgirl take out a possum from a bar :
