No boats have been going out due to weather and the season opened late. Last year there were no local crabs at all as they never opened the season. This might be the only local crab we get this year. It sells out very quickly.

Last I heard it wasn't open south of the CA/OR border?? Here, it's another few days till they're pulling crab. We have a crab feast scheduled for late Jan.....always a great turnout.

It's half the food, half the gathering and feasting. I'd bet a third of those that attend our 200 plus attendance don't love crab. They offer chicken as an alternate, fresh clam chowder, kegs of beer, and varieties of wine......great stuff.

I'd be puking for hours just from the smell. I can't stand seafood at all. When Lisa opens a can of tuna she has to wash the can out and mix the tuna with mayonnaise right away otherwise the smell makes me sick.
