Interesting auction, not much info listed. Maybe I missed it? That 327 is the 300hp L74. Wonder why anyone would seperate the two, it's really quite a nice little package and a fake Z16 is just that.

"EC" is L-79. Per Chevellestuff.com, you can see the snorkle in the back ground.

Yep, my mistake, I was looking at '66 codes. Have an EC code in my '66 chevelle. Seems I remember a distinction regarding the vin stamping on small blocks....the solid lifter or high hp small blocks received the stamp while the lower hp versions didn't. Mine just has the EC code, date and engine plant.
 
$34K seems like a decent deal if an L79 came with it? Or was it a BB? Just said sold
The 396 come with it. The L79 was separate.
$34K for the car and $1650 for the motor. After looking, it looks like it would take a lot to bring it back.
Lots of missing parts.
 
That car in that color with the black vinyl top must look killer out in the sun.
