In the land around Disney the homeless are thriving and crime is ramping up. Taco stands abound right out in front of your brick and mortar dying restaurant. Hell, the taco peddlers are pushing their carts right through the neighborhoods. Isn't multiculturalism great?

Bad news for Disney. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out in court. I think Disney is trying to flex and scare DeSantis, but it has nothing to do with him, it has to do with Reedy Creek. The part that gets me is how McGowan was able to be special councel to Reedy Creek and be chief council to Disney World. Seems like a conflict of interest, but I'm no legal mind.

Don't think that really has any bearing on the case as the legislature can handle it. The ball is in motion, and I'm betting they will call the bonds and Disney will have to shit a billion, then the criminal charges will start coming down.

As per the law, yes. Agreements locally with Nike and Intel have operated with the same playbook with our state and municipalities. They both have gotten huge incentives and have long over extended their promises to the state. It's a back and forth, but at any given time our state gov. could call them to task. They don't because of intrinsic value.

I like that all the info is finally coming out. I think most people that are not in FL forget that there are 10 other parks or main attractions. Universal expansion and their plans have been in the works for a few years now. It sounds like they will be doing it right and use DW as a course in what NOT to do.

The problem is disney has had a monopoly for so long and the other parks are a mere secondary thought as disney was considered the holy grail of theme parks, but with the horrendous increases in prices and now the woke shit, that is starting to wane.
My hope is for disney to get knocked down quite a bit and the other parks to gain more share. I always said that no one should put all their eggs in one basket, but in the beginning when disney came to Florida I'm quite sure all kinds of special privileges were given in the hopes to increase revenue for the state and disney took advantage of it and now is paying the price for arrogance, so other theme parks have come in and are expanding which was long overdue, but if you don't have the traffic to sustain a large expenditure, you don't do it.

Yup. No way Disney passed up a cash cow over their slap fight with Desantis and to frame it as fighting for trans rights is completely dishonest IMO.
Btw I think woke Little Mermaid is coming out soon. Black Ariel of course. It’ll be interesting to see how it does. Normally Disney movies make bank and Little Mermaid already has a big following. On the other hand Woke Toy Story flopped.
Saw the commercial for it. The young lady playing Ariel is very pretty but is kind of a copout if you are “fighting for diversity.” She looks like a white chick with a good tan. How about a really dark Ariel with rope braids Disney?
