We need another Mr. Rogers

Growing up in the Pittsburgh area, NO ONE made fun of Fred Rogers! He was an icon, loved by one and all. As a young aduilt living in the predominatly Jewish Squirrel Hill area, it was not uncommon to see him walking down the street or in a store, where he was treated like everyone else.
 
About 3 or 4 years ago Lisa was channel surfing and went past the PBS station when it caught my eye, and they were selling a Mr. Rogers Neighborhood collection on DVD for like $175, so I had Lisa buy it so our grandkids (only our grandson right now) could watch the shows, and when my daughter and grandson came to visit, Lisa put it on for him and I was very happy to see our grandson engulfed in watching it and when each show was done he'd ask our daughter and us questions, so I know it has a great affect on young minds and I'm glad we bought it.

I ripped all the DVD's, so in the future if anyone needs a copy, let me know and I can send the MP4's.

IMO the “racism” that we were brought up many decades ago (the real overt stuff) is almost completely gone at least from most parts of the country. I believe people carry biases that are said behind closed doors etc. I don’t care about that. People are allows to have unpopular opinions as long as you act right and just as importantly, these biases are carried by EVERYONE. There are no victims or victimizers here. Everyone has prejudices. There is no such thing as “your prejudice is terrible but mine is acceptable.”

What has been used by the left to fill the void of the racism they NEED, is inequality of outcome. “This person with much lower level of achievement should have the same opportunities as the person who studied much harder and is more qualified or else it’s racism!” BS.

With regards to criminal justice, there is of course the argument that blacks are over represented in prison. Well Asians are underrepresented in prison (compared to whites). Does that mean that the criminal justice systems is prejudice against whites, or do they simply commit more crimes than Asians?

Blacks commit more crimes than any other race.

I don't ever remember being "racist" just because someone was a different color. I`ve had black friends growing up in the 70`s.
My daughters boyfriend is black. I don't like anyone that has no respect for life or property.
If you are black white or blue, if you are disrespectful, you are a piece shit.

Well said Tim. To me the color of skin is just pigment, some is light and some is dark. It's what's inside that counts.
