Restored engine pics

Pretty Rubber fuel line and engine colored dip stick 😂 thinking back now I can’t remember if any original Chevys I had had colored dip sticks or not
 
Man you guys are picky!! Looks nice to me but if it’s being passed off as high level restoration maybe it needs to be nit picked. There are 3 different styles on hose clamps just at the front of the intake manifold too. That can’t be correct.
 
There's enough wrong in that engine bay that takes the focus away from the sticker.....it might just be a diversion.
Do you have a pic of a 67 325 or 350 hp engine compartment ? I am restoring mine as close as possible to one of these.
Here is what I have :

Can you get a factory type hard fuel line from pump to carb that’ll look correct? Edit was rubber factory?
 
Factory was all hard lines. Yes, I think hard line from fuel pump to carb is offered by several places
I never had a rubber fuel line spring a leak but did have 1 of my Fat Bob gas tanks break loose and was leaking gas on my right leg at around 80 mph once 😆

I think there might have been a rubber connector on the fuel pump. The outlet is a nipple, so it must have had a rubber hose and clamp.
 
Nashville, I've never restored a 67 or earlier SS with any of the engine choices but I can help. All of those engine pics have incorrect items and painting/plating errors.

I can pick out things to focus on but would have to research a bit.
First, the engine assembly including the intake and exhaust manifolds and water pump was painted together. The bypass hose and clamps were present.
Picking the correct paint is something kinda controversial, as the oem wasn't shiny, it was a 30% gloss or so hugger orange.
Lots more, but it'd probably be a bunch easier to find a good pic like you asked for.......will look.
 
going straight to the '67 gooroo Mr. Jeff Helms' L78 Elky.....the only difference is the intake, fuel lines and deep vs. standard pulleys. All the finishes can be mimicked. One thing I will nitpick on Jeff's car is the intake was present while painting, so it should have a bit of overspray on the front of the intake and along the tops of the runners. Degree of paint gloss is also too shiny, but so common with restored engines. He taped the tip of the water pump inlet, but imo, that should be void of paint 1.5" or so. Jeff does a ton of research before committing, so he's an excellent source and could explain any component or procedure. The '67 has one year only valve covers, at least on the driver's side. and it was the first year of the "tonawanda" decal on the pass. side valve cover.

That is the look I will copy. I have an 850 Holley that I can use the L78 gas line on. An eddy perf rpm instead of the Winters intake.
I'll leave the Brodix race rites clear-coated and say it's an L89 :)
I have the 5 blade fan and thermal clutch. I'll use a cold case aluminum radiator painted black.

I also have another carb setup that will be interesting to see if it can keep up with the Holley.
It's the 850 Quadrajet made by Edelbrock, model 1910 was designed for 500+ hp big blocks.
It will be on a 427/390 hp intake with an open spacer (like vortecpro has).

The car should be quick. It has a Strange S60 with helical posi, TKX 5 speed and 3:73 gears.
Planning on bias ply slicks. We have an 1/8th mile track nearby. It should tell me if it's possible to ever break into the 11's.
