I very much like the music but don’t care for the vocals. Vocals don’t sound very metal to me and of course I have no idea what she’s saying.

Babymetal is Japanese. They combined metal with a sort of pop sound. If you see any videos of them on stage, they have tons of energy, which is cool. This song showcases both:
