Who here wouldn't want to sprinkle some Gumball Rally dust all over this thing with a bit of modern tech and have your way with it??

I owned a '70 split front bumper and it was sweet. Sold it for a mint when a guy made an offer I couldn't refuse (about twice what I had into it) and the guy was showing off the following week with it and totaled it.

They are so capable of ripping up a roadcourse with just a little bit of effort. A little lightning of the nose and either a sbc or LS around 500hp, a TKX and some suspension and rubber and you're officially having fun.

Honest?
Kind of regret not grabbing a split bumper RS back when they were $800 running and driving.
But new tech would be a hard NO.
Instead I have the El Camino and about the only new tech allowed will be the shaft rockers (New-ish) and distributor-less ignition.

Wasn't a Camaro but for 7 yrs my DD was a 76 T/A with 6.6 or 400 & T-400, car handled great but the 84 T/A I had handled even better, I would love to have a 70-73 Camaro, our Furry kids Dr has a 72 with everything from a 2011? Camaro SS in it including dash, int, a/c

Loved that pale yellow camaro in gumball rally but it flipped over after the stand up routine and the movie lost it's star.....so sad.

You were there?
No i wasnt on site at the time of filming but live not too far from it. I have spoken with director chuck bails son years afterwards. he also said that he gave gary busey that annoying whistle and he kept blowing on the set it for hours driving everyone crazy

My boss in 1976 had a 70 Z/28 that was in a speed shop getting the engine built and when it was done one day after work Joe asked me to take a ride with in his 70 LS5 4 spd Vette so of course I said Yes WO knowing where we were going, we went to the speed shop he talked to the guy awhile while we looked over the Z then Joe handed me the keys to the Vette, I was 16, so on the way to his house I couldn’t keep up with him because I was afraid of Fn up the Vette lol but had a blast driving that Vette Semi Hard 😁 the Z had a 4 speed too, not sure what all the shop did but it now had a pretty big cam in it and Joe was really happy, you know I don’t think I ever rode in that car?
