I thought so too, but just goooogled it and it seems he was involved in a bunch of stuff, but never had a band until this.
I'm not a fan of most prog rock, but some Floyd, this, Rick Wakeman is tasty. I still crank the hell out of PF Animals.
 
Animals is my favorite Pink Floyd album. I always heard that the critics didn’t like but I have most all their albums and I listen to Animals the most.

I don’t go very deep with APP but I like “Time”, and “I wouldn’t want to be like you.” “Eye in the Sky” is as good as it gets.
