Screeching sound coming from the TC area. Like maybe a flywheel rubbing on a metal shield, or a brake rotor rubbing on a dust shield, that sort of sound. Sometimes it’s a chirp, sometimes it doesn’t do it, sometimes it’s continuous. It’s clear watching it spin while running that the flex plate isn’t rubbing. Not sure what else tp check? Bad TC? Something else going out?

Did you have 1/8 inch clearance TC to flexplate when you put it in?

I can’t remember that far back. This combo was installed in the car In 2005. All I did for the resto was pull it out and stick it in a corner of the garage. It had no issues over the course of a year including a trip to CB and a couple to shows In Arkansas

OK that's not it.

I didn’t check them before I put the engine back in but they had been torqued the first time and not removed.

I also can’t see anything obvious looking at it while the engine is running. My concern is it might be something internal in thr TC or transmission has broken or come loose?

Is this an OD trans? T350-T400 I don’t think have TV just Detent cable, or does T350 have a cable for passing gear?
