National Guard to Be Deployed for Solar Eclipse 2024

The path is about 90 miles from my son's house; about a 200 mile drive for me.
Carbondale IL will be the destination.
I just ordered some glasses. I might go for it !

I have a sister and BIL that live about 25-30 miles East of Cinci that the area might see some part of it but I got a text from her this morning that they’re in Denver lol

A welding helmet will do it too.
That`s what I had as a kid when there was one here in the 70`s I believe.
Friend of my father was a welder and gave us all the glass inserts for a helmet.

We are supposed to see 90% of the eclipse around here. windy.com says it will be cloudy.
Here`s the map. If you click on your area, it will tell you percentage in your area.

I know here in MN. we're not going to see any of it, rain. That's good, I didn't want to go to Costco anyway this weekend:ROFLMAO:

Why would Oklahoma activate the national Guard because of 100,000 spectators ?
Do they bring out the National Guard for Oklahoma football games ?
