Reviews all said they were so much lighter than original, so I figured I'd buy them and shed a few pounds... weighed them, and they were within the 0.1 lb increment on my scale to the originals... so much for trusting people's reviews.
I do believe they are softer metal than originals, but they are not any lighter or thinner.
Thanks. Good adviceI bought my bumpers from NPD I think they're Golden Legion one thing I should've have done before mounting them is scuffed and painted the back side silver or black, they've been on for a cpl yrs now and look ok but I have a feeling they'll rust on the back side, keep wax on the front too
The backside is plated but not chromed. You can see the finish on the picture showing the "Made in Taiwan" tag.Don't forget to spray the backside with something to help it last longer, my 1st wife worked at Florida Plating for a few yrs in the early 80's and yes EPA drove them out of business, I did have a bunch of trophy's for a bike that was decked out with beautiful chrome and anodizing on it done at her work place...for free
Repops will rust on the back and it won't take long. The backside is plated but not chromed. You can see the finish on the picture showing the "Made in Taiwan" tag.
It looks like it would hold up ?
