GM actually had a line building them, was the only one and still may be the only ones built on an assembly line.I think the "Stripes" version was built based on a Winnebago. I always thought that one looked like a turd.
Many people are getting them because you can rent a small site.I get on the Chevy trucks message board and love looking at the old C10s that were set up to haul those slide in campers.
Seems like back in the day they put some pretty big campers in those trucks and many were set up with V6s.
Now days those thing are so heavy that in most cases you gotta have a 3/4 ton chassis or even a 1 ton
