what to do with engine and trans?

For the people here that did the LS swaps, are you using cable throttle bodies or drive by wire?
 
I'm using drive-by-wire. Had to pay a little extra for the edelbrock terminator max controller to enable that
 
Cleaned up the engine bay tonight, engine and trans will come next week so keep your eyes open for the build thread in the future. I don't plan for it to be a quick project since I need to allocate some funds for the supporting parts but little by little hoping for mid summer to be done. Famous last words!!! :)

Yea i was wondering if I should start a new thread in a certain section (not sure which one) or just do it here? THoughts?
 
The Appropriate Chevelle Year area or Performance. Not sure which would be better. Any ones thoughts?
 
Nice, and the stock throttle body?
I have the stock LS3 intake and throttle body by GM performance. Summit sells it for about $1038


And Rick's Tanks sells the best gas tank that uses a stock 2009 LS3 fuel pump that you can get at any auto parts.
Stay away from one-off fuel pumps you can only get from one vendor. They aren't reliable.
The stock pump supports 550 hp and only costs $120 at RockAuto

Mine Gen3 with cable throttle body and 24x reluctor.
If I were starting over today I'd go Gen4 with DBW and 58x reluctor
 
Can you link the Edelbrock controller you use. Just curious, everyone seems to do holley, is there a reason you went Edelbrock. I’m still open.
Oops, you're right. Mine is a Holley. LOL ! It's the most expensive one for 24X because I needed DBW.
 
Save your money and get a Holley 302-2 or 302-3. You can thank me later. That pan you linked will not work well in a chevelle especially if you want to turn. My 302-2 fits with ZERO issues in my 67.
Just FYI I confirmed that the Holley Oil pans are made in China.....
