Building Our Barndominium

Excellent News!!!!!

Now you are going to be bored :D.... NOT

Bored? Ha! I can't sit still long enough, although today I will be taking it easy and working at my leisure as I am my own worst enemy. I push myself harder than anyone ever could as I expect results, but in this case I am affording myself some latitude. It's been a long process and I just want to savor the fact that it's finished. I still have odds and ends to complete, but none are pressing anymore. Now I'll learn to relax and take things at a slower pace.

I'll start moving some stuff in today, but it'll be done over time as we will parse through what we have and only bring in what we need and want and the rest will be donated.

We'll start living in the house tomorrow, so this is the last night in the battle cruiser (hopefully forever).

First night in the new house was a treat. Took us a bit to get situated, but that was to be expected. We have 70% of the furniture in, but that also includes a thorough cleaning and a deep polishing of all that was brought in. Being OCD and a clean freak (inside the house) it's a must for me and I can't take credit for cleaning as Lisa knows me all too well that it bothers me immensely if things aren't clean and in their proper place, so she took the time to make sure everything was spotless and put away. What a woman to be able to put up with me and all my faults, and yet she still loves me. I'm damn lucky to be able to share my life with her, and I acknowledge it.

I'm taking a break for a couple weeks, then I'll do all the cosmetics (all new mechanicals already) then she'll go up for sale. Lisa loved camping before.... Not so much now. Lisa will be happy when it's gone.
Almost 2 years in it right? Long time living in a RV. We've thought about taking off for the winter, but I don't know if I could live in one for 5 months, 3 weeks & I'm ready to go home.

Full time RV life has an appeal but we need a sticks and bricks house for ourselves. Funny, the full-timers on You Tube almost always buy a place or land to call their own, they really never just full time.
We know of a couple that just started full timing. They have a camper similar to yours, they were campground hosts someplace in WI during summer & took off to AZ in Oct. for winter.
