I bought the seals a few years ago, some were Soffseal & some Metro, IIRC trunk is Soffseal so the doors must be the Metro, when Kevin was here picking up the a/c I gave him a duplicate trunk seal I had (Ever order 2 of the same thing by accident?) maybe he can look at it and confirm, I bought 2 different brands due to availability or price? I'll check to be sure door is shut tight but I'm also sure some adjustment will be needed, Wish I'd had this done when the body guy painted the jambs and assembled the car back together, more I'm thinking about this I'm pretty sure the door seals are Metro

Went to check out an ABNB Motel type place today that last year I lost the bid for new mini split heat pump installation, bath fan & exhausts and dryer exhausts, I was $62K winner was $54K and what a Sloppy job they did, 3 outdoor and 6 indoor units aren’t working and that’s only as far as I got today, they all have some type of issue, some I think are just low on refrigerant charge from never being properly charged or have leaks, 3 indoor units don’t have a drain hose hooked to the drain pumps, 1 unit seems the comm wire must have got cut during Const., what a Fn mess but owner said Whatever it takes, if we have to change out some units do it!! Durastar tech called me back when I was almost home and going to try to met us there next week to figure out a problem I’m not sure about on a 3 indoor head system, I was going to use alum wall brackets since the place is at the beach and code says use SS or alum, inspector that signed off was a private inspec and IMHO doesn’t know his Ass from a Hole in the Ground, 240 volt cord NOT sleeved, No UV coating on black insultube etc etc etc, I’d be Ashamed of myself of this work and after sending pics to tech support agreed and will stop sales to this contractor after I give him a few serial numbers so he can see what company purchased the units, metal wall brackets already rusting, I’ll post some more pics

More pics, this place was a 1 story and the owner had a company remove the roof in 2 sections, set them in the street, stand prefab walls and put the roof back on either the same or next day, I don’t think the drain lines will hit the French drains when the pumps kick on making Slip & Fall Hazzards on the walkway, another thing the inspector should have Red Tagged or made notice of

Wow, the water drain and wiring is supposed to be hidden behind the unit and they accepted this ?

The wall is supposed to be sealed air tight and have a cover over the lines by code, don’t know what’s going on since it looks like some kind of cover was over it I think? Place is a real mess, Oh BUT the owner saved $8K on the install 🤣🤣😂 Have No Idea what it’ll cost to fix it yet lol PS bath exhaust isn’t done right either, the owners Right hand man and Gen Cont. Told this company how I said I’d run the bath Exh because of limited attic space and less roof penetrations, the other guy tried doing that but did it wrong haha

I guess he’s never heard of “buy once, cry once.” Often the cheapest deal isn’t the best deal.
I’ve known this owner since the early to mid 90’s he’s the guy I worked for from 91-2 till 2003-4 best friend, I use to do all his work then he married a pretty blonde now he’s always counting his Beans 😂 Edit I guess that’s not a very fair statement, he was looking at the Bottom Line and thinking as long as it passes inspection WTH, this particular inspector must be an idiot and even inspections don’t check system performance or if they even run

Yamaha G29 golf cart my buddy bought on the cheap.
Not so cheap once it is fixed but still way under retail.
Dropped the drive unit, pulled the motor and found the problem immediately.
The splined coupling between the motor and transmission input is totally stripped.
I have to get a bit creative to remove the remains as there is no way to get under or behind it.
I've spun up a collar on the lathe that I will weld in place so that I may use a gear puller.
Seems the rich/lazy folk just buy a new $600 - $900 motor.
A new coupler is $130
Pics tomorrow if there is interest.

I've done plenty of work on gas and electric carts, and have owned both. I have an ezgo XT 500 that I have to rebuild (weld) a new steel bed for (came with a bed from the factory) and was an electric utility vehicle and not a golf cart. Bought it for my wife to use around the yard. When I rebuild the bed I'm going to convert it to a dump bed so she can dump the bed after she's done her gardening and weeding. I've replaced every part on many carts and like and prefer the old marathon series as they are utilitarian without all the bells and whistles.

After waiting 1/2 a week for a can of Spray Max epoxy to arrive in the mail I realized I had 1/3 quart of black summit epoxy 😩.

So I painted the rear end. Other than some runs it looks great.

I also put these parking brake cables on the wire wheel on the bench grinder, cleaned them up and sprayed a little rattle can clear coat on them.
Any know of a way to lubricate these or don’t bother?

Also put a port on the side of the bench top blast cabinet to hook my dust collection set up.

Cable lube for the brake cables, local MC shops or Amazon

I have the 4x44 IDF Weber intake nearly port matched to the Brownfield heads. :)
Near enough to bolt the individual manifolds back on and blend them to the intake.
I will do the final matching after the heads are fully installed.
