What’d you work on today?

Lower voltage for the electrolysis bath will still work but more slowly.
Going to be slow anyway as the rebar will not be near the walls of the tank.
If it is just light speckles it should still work well, with some patience.

I’d give it a few hundred miles before jumping it, maybe ask the trans shop if they have a break in procedure?

I've never been told break in an automatic - not even from the builder. Guys take them straight to the track after they install them, so putting it through its paces on the
street should not be a problem.

I was inspired by this video that I watched many months ago. As I recall he lets
It go for days. When he pulls the rod out and bumps it on the ground a ton of disgusting stuff falls off the rod.

Got 'em cooking.
Hard to see details in the pic but I have a mild steel rod down the inside of each trailing arm.
They are insulated from the arms by square plastic spacers I cut.
I could have used some heavy mesh on the outside but proximity makes a difference and it is the inside I need to clean.

2 coats of epoxy, 3 coats of high build primer, sanded 220, then 400. Lots of finger sanding. Totally overkill, but I've got the time.
Rough cleaned today, then I'll find a storage spot for another car and move this frame to the spray bay and super clean.
Then 1 coat of epoxy, next day spray 80% gloss single stage.

Hard to see in the pics, but the letters that spell out MUSTANG are stainless inserts that go into the depressions on the cover. They look very nice in person.

The weird items are carbon traps, there is one on each side of the intake in the smooth area between the ait filter housing and the pleated part of the bellows. They are designed to filter "pollutant vapors" that they say migrate back from the engine when its shut off. They present a substantial restriction, and depending on which youtuber's dyno results you believe, removing them is good for anywhere from 12-16 hp in the 2,000 rpm on up range, and increases intake noise :)

The first pic is the only cold air intake so far, and it still not available, said Jan, now pushed to March. You can get K&N filters for the stock air box, but at $175/pair and 3-4 hp, not worth it to me. No one can say how much hp for the CAI, but with the H pipe and carbon trap delete and the stock 480 hp, I shoudl be right at 500 crank hp as it is.

I also checked the oil separator, in 800 miles, it had almost two tablespoons of sticky, smelly black oil in it! Defintly a worthwhile upgrade as far as engine longevity is concerned.

Wow, kinda surprised in 800 miles that much oil was collected in the separator. That's like a 1/4 cup every 3k miles.

Replaced a blower motor today for a mechanic friend today, I gave him a new warranty motor from a system I replaced a few months back, he appreciated the Free motor and I charged 50% labor, he use to work at the shop that did the trans swap on my 68 but wasn’t working there when I had the swap done, I’m still pretty happy with the shop where he use to work….So Far 🙂 Oh I used an old paint brush of his to get the metal shavings out before I put the cover back on, 2002 system 😕, I should’ve took a Que from him before I built my bikes,,,,NO Chrome to Polish!! 👍👍🙂

Good thing to have just in case they decide to stop issuing CC.
When did Florida change their carry law? The guy tat does the class would do the class to make it valid there but when he brought it up on the web, he said I don't have to it must have got changed recently.

Last year. Lisa and I have CC permits and we'll continue to maintain them just in case laws change down the road. It's a good thing to have as there are a number of states that are reciprocal with Florida. None of the liberal run states reciprocate with Florida though...

I don’t think you need a permit to carry in Fl anymore but I’m not 100% sure, I’m still waiting on an atty I hire 1.5 yrs ago to take care of something
