Last Murray lasted about 30 yrs, I’m thinking the door being in front of it blocked air flow and made it over heat, Im hoping that all it is, it happened before I put the fan thereThose motors are supposed to be continuous duty, so the motor might be done.
I’m annoyed for you. What does that guy think a deposit is? It’s an agreement that you will hold the item for me and in exchange for that you get to keep my money if I can’t keep up my end of the bargain. The cocksucker that was supposed to buy the '70 vert backed out last night and then had the balls to ask for his deposit back.
I held the car for him for 3 weeks, telling multiple interested people that it was sold. He was supposed to fly in today and pay for it.
Deposit was paid by PayPal goods & services, so they'll side with him if we don't return it.
Now I'm pissed.
My old friend (and old boss) that owns Ivey League Realty called me today and asked if I was interested in fixing his mortgage brokers 2 ac’s at his home, both broke down at the same time, first thing I thought was a power problem but Charlie had asked him if any other 230 volt powered appliances still worked like clothes dryer & stove/oven and they worked so I drove to Feather Sound in Clearwater to see what was up, burnt breaker on the 1.5 ton master bedroom system and the attic unit was on the correct breaker size being 30 amp, the outdoor unit Max was 15 amp but on a 30 amp, installers used an old unused 30/30 quad that burned, can’t get a 15/30 so I had the owner go get a 20/30 wire brushed the panel blade then put Oxguard on the blade then put the new quad breaker in and had him pick up a new 20 amp single across from it since it was a little burnt too, that cured the small 2020 Goodman system, the main house Diakin system needed a new 70/5 start/run capacitor, I had the owner go to Diakin/Goodman and pick it up while he was out getting the breaker, I called it in for Will Call, I sat around playing with their pitbull Zippy while I waited for parts lol, Very tight attic
I was there a cpl hrs, driving time was an easy hour round trip, $400 and nothing really out of pocket, guy was super happy and paid cash I also put my SMAN3 on each system and checked them goodAs long as the monies are good, and Feather Sound is a nicer area.
I love cash. Especially if it's over $600.$400 and nothing really out of pocket, guy was super happy and paid cash

When you get to the evaporator, pleaseThe ac hoses that came with the kit have 90 degree fittings attached to the evaporator end, so I don't think I can feed those fittings through the grommet in the blower motor cap.
I can do the heater hoses from that end.
I had a previous install on a camaro where I bought the ac hose kit that allows you to install the fittings. It's a lot more expensive, so I bought the already assembled hoses.
Hope that wasn't a mistake !
When you get to the evaporator, please
Post some pics if you are able. I just couldn’t bring myself to pay 3x more for a direct fit evaporator so I’ll have to figure out some mounts.
I have a portable Protech, I’ll Google for spelling and it’s been a very good unit. I use 50lb tanks but 30lb are availableWhat recovery system do you use? I plan on getting a smaller one with a recovery tank as I can see I'll be doing a bit of A/C work on the cars and trucks I have.
Some times you get what you pay forCondenser. A direct fit (parallel flow)from that place in Florida is near $400 I think. I bought a same size universal for less than a hundred I think.
I’m using my original evaporator. It looks to be intact and clean so I saw no reason to get a new one.
I’ll post a pic a little later or in the AM, I’ve had it 15+ yrsWhat recovery system do you use? I plan on getting a smaller one with a recovery tank as I can see I'll be doing a bit of A/C work on the cars and trucks I have.
