What’d you work on today?

Thanks. I assembled things with the bolts I have but I’ll buy longer ones like you posted above.

I bent up new brake lines. Not as pretty as I hoped for but I’ll run it as is for now. The ni-cop brake lines are great. Bend super easy without a bender and doesn’t kink unless you try to bend too tight. Unfortunately the Prop valve has to be clocked out of the way a bit because it hits the inner fender. Not a big deal.

I'm working with mostly "Horse apples".
Supposed to let them season before use but my ground is so bad I'm not worrying about that.
I've been disking in anything organic I can find, leaves, fruit cores, flower stems, spoiled food, .....
Now I've done the manure, adding some sand, compost, and maybe even gravel would be good too.
I think my best rick is going to be driving a steel rod through the hard-pan layer several times to get better drainage.
Good dirt on top will not work if it is water logged.

Okay, looking for opinions.....

I created the new battery tray and have it suspended over the tires, but currently it sits level and wondering should I tilt it forward? It would be purely for aesthetics as the batteries can be mounted in any position.

Wondering if I should tilt it forward to match the pitch of the top deck and maybe give it a more aggressive look, or leave it level?

For me, I’d be fine with flat. If you want an aggressive look maybe add a pro stock hood scoop or drag slicks on back and skinnys up front?

Thats very cool that you converted that thing to electric.

Wasn't going for race look, just what looked "right" to the eye. I tilted it forward to match the deck pitch and it looks better to me like it belongs.

Where’d you get the motor from? I think you said you did that conversion 20 years ago? Your were way ahead of the green movement.

I'd have to look it up, but I did convert my neighbors John Deere mower about 5 or 6 years ago, and he loves the hell out of it. Just turn the key and go. As I recall, the motor (still made today) cost about $750. The majority of noise of the mower comes from the blades spinning. My Dad bought a GE electric tractor in '74 and that thing lasted into the mid 2000s when I couldn't weld the deck anymore (and we'd moved away already by then).

I reckon that should do it. Do some grinding, let it cool off, wipe it down, spray some primer, then a final coat of black gloss. Hopefully I'll get another 15 years out of it. Worst thing I hate about welding is not seeing what you are welding because it's too low to the ground or in a tight spot, but I figure if I can stand on it trying to break it and it doesn't move, it'll be good since the batteries (all together) weight 40 lbs less than I do.

My last Samsung appliance that hasn't broken, finally did. The oven won't regulate temperature. I tested the thermostat/probe and it is within the OHM range, I have ordered a control board. Never had a stove or oven die, no reason to have all of these electronics in basic things.

Cooked breakfast on the Blackstone this morning, does that count?

All BS aside, the new induction cooktop is amazing. Brings 6 cups of tap water to a rolling boil in 50 seconds. We've also just started cooking our thick cut bacon in a covered pot (3lbs at a time). No mess or fuss and no grease all over. Wish we'd done that sooner.

The crazy oven kept heating up and up. For a test we ran it at 350, using a digital thermometer it was at 560 and climbing, we wondered why a frozen pizza burned the other day.

Doh! That's a crime when pizza burns. We use a ninja slim toaster over for all the small stuff (not roasts and big stuff) and save on power. Cooks much faster in a toaster oven.

Received my mail-order tv stand and set it up. Had to cut the back panel so the AV receiver would slide all the way in.
After what seemed like miles of wiring for speakers, got it all setup.
I do not have any regrets about buying this 98" tv. You guys should consider it - but I know I'm the only one on here who watches sports.

Yesterday my plumber friend of 30ish yrs (3rd gen plumber) came by and did the DW hook up, Tee’d into supply under the tankless gas WH and now the DW works 👍👍😆 I still need to strap the drain pipe in a few places but Im hoping tomorrow is a light day 😁 earlier Kathy showed me a copper base pot from a set she’s had since she was 18 and Very happy how shinny it came out 👍👍🙂 Then! My little buddy said “Dad!! Why didnt you hook the water and drain to OUR bath tub so I can look out the window when Im getting a bath!!?” Always something 🫤 Oh I also added a 5 yr filter on the fridge along with the whole house charcoal filter feeding it

Best Buy just raised the price of this 98" TV by $1000 to $3000 !
Could this be China is going to do their best to screw the Biden Administration by raising prices across the board during an election year ?
I've never seen this much of a price increase (50%).
