It's awesome that you found that under the rear seat or on top of gas tank ?

I found this small scrap under the rear seat of my 67 :

Mine was under the carpet on the drivers side of the transmission tunnel. I'm sure glad that it didn't rot away anymore than it had.

Build sheet, body broadcast sheet, numbers on the block or tranny, or original dealer docs would all serve to prove it is what it is. You guys with 70s are far more likely to have build sheets with your car. Up until that point, they rarely stayed with the car. Tank stickers on vettes '67 and later were common but the rest of us are not so lucky.

Beth, your IBM punch card should tie it to your specific car and should have various options listed by plotting those punch marks.

You can. The columns represent letters 1-26, rows represent numbers, sometimes 2 numbers or 2 rows correspond to a letter. These combined spell an rpo, such as M20, B22 etc.
I've got 2 for my convertible, they are punched in this manner and in addition, the codes are scrolled out along the heading of the card. The scrolled codes match perfectly with the punch placement. Mine are KC cards and bluish green in color, other plants are parchment and have no scrolled codes listed but I'd bet are punched in the same way.

My car is supposed to be from the Baltimore Plant. Thanks for the info :)

I hated Computer Science at the University of Illinois in 1970(?). I think it's one of those "left" or "right" side of the brain kinda things! LOL! Running that stack of punch cards was kinda fun however...the programming is what frustrated me.
