Robbie Bachman Has Died

Rip. He took his dad's efforts and used modern technology to take it another step or two. Then guys like McGrath and Emig were doing it in competition, which trounced his appeal. Then Pastrama just made them all seem trivial.
Breaking bones for a living just doesn't sound like a good career choice to me.

Wrong Robbie...

Oh, not sure why I jumped at that, maybe I just read a headline or whatever.....

Still I'm saddened for both, and had a great respect and appreciation for Randi Bachman. He, and the entire group bucked the trend of drugs, alcohol and the typical stereotype of rock and roll stars
They did very well for themselves playing and exhibiting their passion.
Still listen to their stuff to this day, Seen BTO at least 4 times, mostly in small arenas, like fairground gigs.

Randy Bachman was an excellent songwriter. Sad to see Randy's little brother pass.
His lyrics could be very funny too. "Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet" was awesome
and "Takin' Care of Business" had the great line :

You get up every morning
From your 'larm clock's warning
Take the 8:15 into the city
There's a whistle up above
And people pushin', people shovin'
And the girls who try to look pretty
And if your train's on time
You can get to work by nine
And start your slaving job to get your pay
If you ever get annoyed
Look at me I'm self-employed
I love to work at nothing all day
