Satoh Beaver III Model S373D

All of the hydraulic lines are off the plow, going to get new ones made. Need to get a list ready for bolts needed. No shopping today, roads are icy.

Hydraulic lines for plow are at NAPA, they have 2 more fittings coming in tomorrow. I will take a headlight with me to see if they have something that fits. I need to go to Lowes too to get metric bolts, Tractor Supply has plenty of SAE but not Metric.

At minimum grade 5, but I'd use grade 8 bolts. They'll stand the punishment.

Bolts are for mounting the bracket to the chassis. The front mounts bolt through the frame into the block. The bracket is disassembled, ready for reassembly and final paint.

Hopefully the cylinders and control assembly are in good shape.

Exactly why I said grade 8. They will be stressed pushing the plow. If they are soft, they will loosen and or strip and then you'll be back at square one.

Be careful of the length of thread. Most bolts now don't come fully threaded, so make sure you verify bolt length.
I need to run a tap in the holes first to clean the threads, other like bolts did not go in smoothly. Living in the country I buy various lengths, cheaper than going back to the store.

I had no idea hydraulic lines were that expensive!!!

Anyway, I have the lines, and grade 10 Metric bolts, hard to find 12 x 1.25 at industrial supply store, unfortunately the TAP was sold out, it is in order from Amazon. I am going to try and warm the garage up and spray the bracket today. I am thinking about draining and installing the correct fluid before I mount it. I am going to try and clean up the plow side too, will need to break out the engine crane to lift it.

Cost me like $260 or $280 at NAPA for 4 new hoses (custom made) on the backhoe which is about average for price.

Dozer is installed and working. I changed the fluid from 80W to tractor fluid, PTO works so much better. I know the lines look a little long but I would rather have slack in the lines plus I had them made the same length as the originals.

I have not fully lifted or extended the angle all the way yet, I am trying to be easy on the cylinders and let them get lubricated again.
