You'll be adjsuting that turn buckle every so often, so keeping it corrosion free is critical. I hate heavy wood gates, always screaming for attention.

It seems like it came up a little, I tried using a small floor jack to lift it but can’t get it under so just pried every few turns of the turn buckle, might be time for new gates if I can’t get these where I like, fairly bowed out at the top

Had to Drag Up, have an emergency ac repair but got a lot of the first gate done and don’t need to worry about the Furry kids getting out and exploring St Pete 😁

Got back at and think it looks OK, also just noticed a decent 56 Nomad on EBay that the bid is low and thinking of bidding on it 😳

I find it easier to put those cables on when the gates are new. Stops the sag when the gates are installed, and installing the supports after the sag makes it tougher, but in a few days you should be able to tighten the turnbuckles again lifting it a bit more if you need too.

You need to remove the entire fucking thing & replace it! 🤣
I had the whole backyard fence & gates replaced in 2015 with 5/8 Yella Wood and USA hardware, 200+ feet of fence plus gates $3,865 and that was middle quote and guy didn’t even tell me they’d make it on site instead of bringing premade fence panels in 👍👍 But Yes I should have stayed ahead of the Known Upcoming problem of Gate Sag so I’m paying for that now 😒 and who the F uses self tapping screws putting gate hardware on ???

The guy that has a saggy metal gate?? I agree, the first indicator of a hokey "kit" is the cheapest fasteners they could scrounge. Bought an American flag to mount on my outside entry, probably a few pounds and it'll be sailing in the wind.......they gave me 4x 1 inch x #8 wood screws and a plastic thimble. What a joke. Made my own out of 1/4" plate nad solid steel rod.
I'm real envious of a few in the neighborhood with the lightpole type flagpoles. Some day.

I’m happy with the job they did back in 2015, I played hokey from work to see what they were going to do and when I seen them (Mexican crew) pull up with a long trailer of Yella Wood that put my mind at ease, 1 spoke English and I was able to tell him a few things I was concerned about but in the end thought they did a great job and gave them each a $20, maybe the hardware just came with self tapping screws but I’ve never thought about using 1 in wood, wishing I’d of used truss plates and these kits when they were done, I doubt it’ll be my last regret of doing something 😆any ideas of how to get the lean out of the top of the gates?
