Does the tapered end go towards the trans or rearend? Got the new Summit 200-4r yoke today and stopped and bought a 1350 Ujoint, Napa was closing before I could get there, $26.99 for Napa Ujoint Advanced was open and $41.x there so I asked if they price match and guy got it to $30.x for a Dana/Spicer, Napa brand was Unknown origin16579F3A-CC91-436E-A376-0C530624ECA5.jpeg41BBB7F2-A511-4840-9752-0E84DB0A08F0.jpeg

Just discovered can’t swap caps like 1310 to 1330 on 1350, thicker cap shaft so guess I’ll put this new 1350 Ujoint in a drawer for next DS and order one of those Ujoints that 1 side is 1350 other side is 1310 or 1330, whatever DS is

AE6F6C61-F0CE-4D04-AC69-BF9DE66A95B9.jpegI stopped by an ORielys this morning and spoke to a guy that knows old cars ( instead of Year Model Blah Blah) and we looked in his comp screen and I had a pic of a combo Ujoint and he said I’ll have it here by 11:30 👍🙂 I went on to some jobs then when I was headed to N county stopped there and picked it up, I bought the cheaper $28 😳 version instead of $50 😳😳 since it’s only temp

Put the DS in and I think it’s too short, I have 1.75” of yoke shaft showing unless having the front end off the ground would make .75” diff?

Try setting the front end down. That looks like too much sticking out of the trans.
If you can't see it with the car on the ground, stick your phone under there and take a pic

With the price of custom shafts I'd store that one and just have another built 1" longer...... but I like having stuff in inventory.

That’s my plan, 1” longer shaft for 1350 Ujoints and I’ll use the combo Ujoint at the rear end, wish I’d thought to have the rear yoke upgraded when I had it built

Setting the front end down on the ground didn't help ?
I didn’t try yet, by 3 pm it was like an oven in that garage even with fans blowing so if I’m not needed at home later I’m going back but I really want to replace the trans filter today after repainting the pan , guess I’ll need to raise it back up anyway 🙂

Dropped DS off at PST, went over some things and now wishing I'd told the shop that rebuilt my 12 bolt 10 yrs ago to upgrade the yoke to 1350 Ujoint, owner at PST said he'd guarantee the 3.5" alum DS to 1,200hp but solid rear Ujoint only to 500hp and rec'd I have the rearend upgraded then he'd guaranty to 700hp min but I'm not doing that since it's not a Race car, thinks he'll have it done Friday, he also mentioned about my Summit yoke that "It's a shame we're Not Allowed to make them here in the US"

You know about the little clip on the VB, it's to push the filter down to the pan.

What clip? 😳 It’s in the same place as the one I removed, if I need to open it back up it’s getting a 700 filter and deep pan but hoping that’snot needed
