What’d you buy?

I'm afraid I'd have to agree with you John. I'm not kind to any kind of jewelry and haven't even worn my wedding ring in 30+ years. I do not wear any jewelry whatsoever and do not like to. I'm just a plain jane kind of guy.

"Back in the day", I bought a new Daytona in 1985 for $900, sold it for $1,800 two years later and laughed all the way to the bank. The identical watch sells used today for $95,000!!! I had a couple others that would fetch some big coin today. With demand the way its been, used bring more than new just because they are available. Newones have a 1-2 year waiting list. Thio one dates to the '70's and is pretty common, and cost what I thought was a reasonable amount. The thing with a Rolex is that if you own one, you always have money. No matter now hard times are, you can sell it for good $. I have an office job, so it'll never see hard use, although they will take a beating. Aside from the jewelry aspect of it,they were made to be worn and used, and were sold as tool watches years ago, ie diving and flying.
Seeing James Bond with one caught my eye years ago, and I won't deny that in my 20's, wearing one was bitch bait. They thought you had money, and by the time they realized that you didn't, you had hit it, then quit it, and denied you ever got wit it!

I never wore rings, but i got my first wristwatch at age 6 and have worn one every day of my life since. After my glasses, its the first thing I put on in the am, and the last thing I take off at night. I am anal about time, and can't imagine leaving the house without it, even to go to the corner store.

I got an old Seiko 😂 got the band replated over 20 yrs ago in exchange for a motorcycle part lol, got it a really long time ago and one of the first things I did was scratch the hexagon or whatever crystal lol, I think it’s around here somewhere but haven’t wore it in over 25 yrs, well if I ever need a $20 😂25AF0978-82AF-44DC-B4DE-29CFB10EBD3D.jpeg

Well not what I bought but what I’m returning 😆 sending 2 Shiftworks detent plates and 1 indicator window back to Summit, no need to have $250+ in new parts laying around that I’ll Never use 👍🙂

If its an auto winding watch, that Seiko may fetch $300.
I took this for a repair payment about 10? Yrs ago and after your Rolex post ( Beautiful Watch btw) this morning I remembered I had this watch, they worth anything? I can’t remember what the bill was but I don’t think it was very much maybe $100? It was supposedly brand new

Some of the Invicta watches are over $800 on their website, but many sites are selling those watches for over 90% off right now (like $50, etc.). It would be easier to sell if it was like a Bulova, Movado, Seiko, Citizen, etc.

Oh well I probably didn’t have much into whatever I did for it, kids can find it when I’m gone, think they Really scored then find otherwise 😂

I just ordered these hedders :
Hedman 66002 with 2" primaries
67's are a tight fit so I'm hoping these are similar to the 1.75" tube 68198 that are very good fitting

I had Hedman headers on my small block. They fit well once in but were a bitch to install, especially the driver side. Has to pull out the steering column and take out the engine mount bolt and jack up the engine. Glad I didn’t pay for expensive coating because they would have been scratched to hell.
Still have them but I’m gonna try going back to manifolds when I get the car back together and see how I like it.

I forgot I have 2 Rolexes in my safety deposit box. I bought a new Daytona stainless with a black face for $3750 around 1996ish. I inherited my grandpas Rolex GMT when he passed. Both are barely worn & look new.
I have no idea what they're worth. I also don't wear any rings or jewelry of any type. The only time I care about is Miller time.

Unless you are concerned with getting into the 11's or 12's, exhaust manifolds are the way to go LOL
Exhaust manifolds kill a high rpm engine as the 396/375 hp engine was rated 425 hp in the Vette just because of better exhaust.

I bought this Gree (Intertek mfg) mini split heat pump system a little while ago, comes with US Streamline copper, a very good electrical protection unit and 10 year all parts warranty, I’ve put a lot of these in and never had any issues but I was going to put a Mitsubishi system in but for the same $ it was 4k btu smaller, a discontinued model and just the ac units no extras, Kathy said I should just get them a new Dishwasher 😐😆 But I’m an ac guy not a Dishwasher guy lol and they have ugly window ac units upstairs, and the MIT was I think a lower SEER, and more $D57746FC-55C3-41CF-A0E7-A61F30113C62.png

The self winding Daytona is in the $25K range if stainless, GMY maybe a bit less. If they've been sitting, it'd be a good idea toget the wound up and running for a while, or you may find they will require an extensive service later.
