Looking for Advice for Tires on my 1967 Super Sport

Cooper Cobra GT Radials with raised White letters were on my cars in the 70-80’s I always thought they looked great, handled great and wore great, had 2 sets on my 76 T/A over a 7 years and round trip from Fl to Mi, even drove back with snow on the ground WO too much trouble and I remember that trip very well lol

I also love the look of repro bias-plies, but completely understand the desire for radials.
Like these ? I didn't know these came in 14" radials FR-70-14

I like the flat disc brake rally caps or these spinners on a ralley wheel

Wow! Coker's stuff is getting really expensive. Imagine paying 13-14 hundred for tires and after 5-6 years, everyone's telling you you're nuts for running those will-pops on your prized possession. All the while you're looking back at it and counting the miles you've accrued, and it comes to just several hundred miles. Simple math is what keeps me from having cool tires.

This forum is the only place I've heard criticism of rally wheels with flat caps and nice white letter tires ?
I have 17" torq-thrust with blackwalls and from my experience, these are by far the two most popular combos.
I think everyone is suffering from inflation shock. Everything has gone up 50% in just a few years.
I'm so glad I stockpiled parts to finish my cars !

14" tires are ridiculous because of low demand. A 275-60-15 Cooper Cobra Radial at Tirerack is $182 , about half price of the 14" tire.

It's not the 14 inch size, it's Coker repop old school stuff. I really would love to have L60/15 bias ply tires on a lot of my rides, but $500 a piece aint gonna happen.
The MFG’s know they have people with Classics by the Short Hairs and charge Outrages prices, Coker Pro Trac N-50 15” are what $480ish Crazy

IDK, anything that's low-production will be sky-high.
That's why I changed to 17" rims years ago. The hand-writing is on the wall.
14" and 15" tires will continue to go up faster than 17".

Those are a good compromise for radials, but nothing beats the look of real bias plies.

Never seen such ugly things in my life. I don't remember bias-ply tires looking like that ?
I graduated in 72 (HS).

These are the tires I'd like to get on the back of my 66 eventually, with some pizza cutters on the front.

In 1976 I swapped my 64 Tbird to my friends dad they lived right around the corner for his dads 65 Impala with a 327 PG even up but mine had a fresh Sheriff's office rebuilt C6, when I washed the Filthy but no rust or dents 65 I found it had Chrome reverse rims on all 4 corners 👍👍🙂 I founds some new Baby Moons shortly after 😁 PS ended up putting 60’s on the rear, I think F’s ?

Original "pie crust" cheater-slicks were re-treaded with a sticky compound vulcanized onto a regular street tire, and a couple grooves cut into them to meet tread-depth laws. Early to mid-60s era.
About 30 years ago I was at a swap meet and picked up some original 60's M&H Racemaster Dragster full slicks with the pie crusts. They were mounted on equally old Cragar S/S's. The bad thing is the slicks were only 7 inches wide, and the Cragars were only 15x6, so I ended up selling them. I did mount them on the Chevelle once, just to see what they looked like.
