Oh Oh!

When Kathy and myself are driving some where we have the radio off because we’re both damn near Deaf and can’t hear each other 😆 when I’m driving by myself it Blaring 🤣 Edit Except in the Chevelle, I’d rather hear the BBC

My old '55 had a 427, jerico 4 spd, and borla XR1s, and 4.30 gears. I drove it routinely 30 miles highway speeds to the dragstrip, did my thing and drove home. The highway rpms were close to 4000 and it loved it, and so did I. No radio, conversation was minimal because the cockpit noise was intense. Also, at those rpms, passing blurps never needed a downshift, but the temptation did present itself on occasion. Oh, solid engine mounts and sintered iron clutch. Man I miss that car.

Lisa would like a sporty SUV, and she'd like a Ford Sport Trac, so add that to the list of conversions. I'll drop one of the 327s in that with a 200r4 and yank all the computer shit out
The 4.0L SOHC is not hard to work on, timing chains will be a pain but doable.

Nah, it's fun. You have to remember Jon you're still working...... I'm semi (mostly) retired and I've waited all my life to do the things I always wanted which includes building cool things.
I am just thinking everything is electronic now from seats to speedometer to a/c

The sport trac I'm looking at is between 2002 to 2008 and rewiring for all that is easy.

I already figured I'd be building all my own instrumentation, and with a 327 / 200r4 the rest is easy. Once I've fit the engine and trans and get a driveshaft made, the rest is easy.

Besides, electrical is up my ally and I really enjoy it.

It shouldn’t be hard at all, get a Painless or other brand master wire kit and probably after market Speedo and other gauges and you’ll be all set, probably not much different to an S10 to SBC swap 👍👍🙂 Edit you won’t need a Master wire kit

Pretty soon you'll be a labeled troublemaker, Dean will put his old fuck hammer down on you.:ROFLMAO:
Trouble Maker??? 😁😂🤣 I’m willing to bet $ that when we all were in our 20’s and Still come up with ideas that are against the grain…..Hot Rodding 101 👍👍😁 I know 68’s was an Opinion but So What 👍👍

I had/have a friend or acquaintance that put different engines in his 69 SS396 Chevelle back in the 70/80’s even a 6 cylinder out of a Ford truck, IIRC a Mopar engine but he was a real close friend to the guy I knew that owned a local JY, the guy had Fun wrenching on his car 👍👍

I'll bet he needs some Preparation-H after that one🤣🤣🤣
Man those guys are thin skinned, my Wife has more of a spine then some of those guys. "Mommy mommy dat mean old man hurt my feelings again"
The squirrel is some piece of work.
I don’t go there unless someone posts something about their childish shit but, they are entertaining when I do.
Especially the hypocrisy of Dean and Gene.🙄

Still don't care what they do over there. They are hypocrites. Learned long ago that people rarely change, and like a leopard, they can't change their spots. I still don't go there and have no desire to interface with hypocites.
