Ruben Sandwiches

I can make a pretty good one. I use corned beef or pastrami depending on my mood. Swiss cheese & my favorite sour kraut. Toasted to perfection.

I ordered the Katz's Ruben package. I have ordered from them before, and it has been really good. Thought I'd give this a try.

Lisa and I used to go to a Jewish Deli that had sit down tables and that's what I always got. They always had a line out the door. They were transplants from NYC and made a mean ass rueben.

I always got the 1/2 pickle that was kosher and man, that's the shit. A ruben with a kosher dill is the bomb.

I only like them on seedless rye. My son makes his own kraut and man it is sour.
He simmers it for days.And I make the pickles.

I like the half sour or full sour pickles just as well. I also like the kosher garlic dill pickles when I can find them.

Me too, one of my favorites.....probably because rotting stuff has a crazy abundance of flavor. Rye bread is the shit for a sandwich!!
