My black tank valve always leaked corn, peanuts,:ROFLMAO: but probably TP. I put another gate valve at the end of the pipe so you don't get the splash when you pull the cap.

We are in West Memphis Arkansas at a KOA, had some rain and traffic. Alot of mountains today on I-40, not only in NC but in TN between Knoxville and Nashville. Had traffic in Nashville.

One minor truck issue, between Nashville and Memphis a turbo boot popped loose, I quickly pulled off the road, got my cloves on and an 11mm socket and tightened it back on. On the camper the propane regulator is not working, will have to figure out a solution because after tomorrow we are pretty remote.

Next stop, Amarillo!

Yup, KOA in Amarillo. We will unhook, go to Cadillac ranch with spray paint and probably Big Texan Steak house. 715 miles.

Funny, today we did 715 miles 15MPG
What did you get before injectors? KOA there's a trucking company about a 1/4 mile away that has an outside ringer & it's going constantly, only gripe about it.

I should have reserved with the Loves RV Center but when I set it up we never tried one out, we like them.

Injectors?

3 long days of driving, we are now outside of Winslow AZ.

Last night we were in Amarillo, the KOA was not bad but the wind was horrible! I expected to wake up to torn toppers but they held in there.
First thing we did was go to the Cadillac Ranch.

We then ran a couple of errands and went to the Big Texan Steak House:

The Big Texan

Headwinds on I-40 were bad today, sometimes I was having trouble keeping it at 65, speed limit is 75. New Mexico's roads are not that great. The route follows the old Route 66, we did drive through Tucumcari just to see Route 66 stuff.

I've got some pics on the other computer I'll dig out soon......the Tucumcari station was when James Taylor sat on the fence with Laurie Byrd talking about the crazy bugs {cicadas}. It's no more, but some artifacts are still there, or were when I drove through.

18. Ute Service Station

Construction yard, US Highway 54, app. 1.5 miles north of intersection with East Tucumcari Boulevard, Tucumcari, NM

Ute Service Station northeast of Tucumcari is a pivotal scene in the movie. Here, the threesome of the Driver, the Mechanic and the Girl meet GTO, and an absurd bet is made to race cross-country to Washington, D.C. for “pink slips.” The slow, highly choreographed scene takes up a mere 10 minutes in the film, but it sucked up two days of dawn-to-dusk shooting. The gas station closed not long after filming and came down in the 1990s, partially as result of a reconfiguration of the highway. Marked only by a line of Chinese elms, the site of the old service station is now an entrance to a storage yard for a construction company.

In 1979 on a cross country run Dad had his Oldsmobile serviced at a dealership in Tucumcari, today the town didn't look like it could ever support a car dealer again.

Yeah, there's quite a few that went poof. There's even more that are on life support with no visible means.
