Not much to do or see around here. At least in my opinion. I'm always good for a steak dinner or something.Maybe next year... already planning that one.

My black tank valve always leaked corn, peanuts, but probably TP. I put another gate valve at the end of the pipe so you don't get the splash when you pull the cap.Gate valve replaced, had to take all 3 of them loose, including the black tank's Tested for leaks, all is good, 5 gallons of water and treatment in each tank.

In 1979 on a cross country run Dad had his Oldsmobile serviced at a dealership in Tucumcari, today the town didn't look like it could ever support a car dealer again.I've got some pics on the other computer I'll dig out soon......the Tucumcari station was when James Taylor sat on the fence with Laurie Byrd talking about the crazy bugs {cicadas}. It's no more, but some artifacts are still there, or were when I drove through.
18. Ute Service Station
Construction yard, US Highway 54, app. 1.5 miles north of intersection with East Tucumcari Boulevard, Tucumcari, NM
Ute Service Station northeast of Tucumcari is a pivotal scene in the movie. Here, the threesome of the Driver, the Mechanic and the Girl meet GTO, and an absurd bet is made to race cross-country to Washington, D.C. for “pink slips.” The slow, highly choreographed scene takes up a mere 10 minutes in the film, but it sucked up two days of dawn-to-dusk shooting. The gas station closed not long after filming and came down in the 1990s, partially as result of a reconfiguration of the highway. Marked only by a line of Chinese elms, the site of the old service station is now an entrance to a storage yard for a construction company.
