Gas will Be $4 where I live by Memorial Day

Where are you?
Here in Ct. at Sams club it’s $2.95 because it’s election year.🙄
The other stations it’s $3.40ish.
You know damned well it will go up. If you have any sense.

Prices were raised 20 cents friday, then 30 cents sat.....up to 5.29. Portland. I was so pissed, my gauge was on E this morning. Passed 2 chevrons and was heading for a '76 when I saw the last chevron on the string of 4 that hadn't changed their prices. Asked the sleepy attendant why, he said he was the only one there all day and had a phone call, but was too busy to answer it. Take a guess who was calling. Saved me $10 bucks. I suspect the oil companies are making a statement before mid-terms, anyone else??

No, the Biden administration is still taking oil out of our strategic reserves to lower the price.
Of course, they will stop in late October and let it rise again after the November election.
And to get it back to $5+, they are instituting an "oil price cap" on Russian oil in December.
That will send oil back to new highs and inflation will be even worse than today.

I knew the idiot is still depleting the reserves, but I'm thinking Jerry might be right. Our prices started rising yesterday.

$4.90 here today, so the trend of rising prices continues.
Expecting it to be over $5.00 before next weekend.
We never got below $4.40

Ratchet effect is in action.
Up a bit, down a fraction, up again, down but still higher than last time, up yet again........
Keep repeating until we are all effed and accept the doubled over Trump prices as normal.
Bidet' and his hoard are still trying to use gas prices to push folk into unaffordable EV's.
Just saw a report that EV charging is now nearly as expensive as gasoline if using a pay-charger.

A lot of the things that brought down the price of gas will be phasing out by the end of the year. Taking oil from the reserves and state taxes that were dropped to bring the prices down. On the news it said gas prices have gone up every day for the last 5 days.

The part that confuses me is why people can't come to the realization that electric will cost more than fossil fuels as we begin to use more and more, and all at the behest of the climate change dumbasses. Because they are pushing EV's it will require a whole new infrastructure to replace our current aging infrastructure. Who pays for that? We all will. So not only will people be forced to buy EV's, but also pay for upgrading the infrastructure, and then pay even more for electricity. All because the green dummies are pushing an agenda.

When will people learn it's not a win / win for the greater populous? There is no magic that will make electricity cheaper in the long run. I don't subscribe to the idea that in whole EV's should replace petrol vehicles.

I think the gas tax break ends at the end of October here. Convenient?
Diesel is still up around $5.00. Why? Got a price on fuel oil from our regular guy of $3.85. I have 2 - 275 gallon tanks at my shop and 1 at home.
He said to check back on Tuesday, that`s when the prices change. Up or down?

It is only money, they can print more. Easier than that now, just create a few billion and plug it into the system's computers.

Uh huh, sure, devalue the dollar even more. I think the liberals have been trying to push as much as they can before they lose control of everything, but the pattern has been set in stone for so long it's stupid. Liberals get in office and spend like there's no end and then it takes multiple terms of republicans in office to fix what they've done. The cycle must end. I say those who spend irresponsibly are personally liable, and their families (including their future generations) must make good and pay restitution until the shortage has been satisfied. Until they are held personally responsible, the cycle will not end.

They firmly believe that creating more money will get them more stuff, their lack of basic economic sense truly amazes me.
