The Uhaul truck guys are just, well, there's no words. First industrial hvac job I apprenticed onin '86, I loaded some 12ft sections of 18" diameter pipe in the 3rd subfloor of a highrise parking garage. The rear bar of the truck rack was missing so I just laid the tails on the bed, poking the fronts skyward. Sized it up with a tape measure to insure it'd fit through the concrete beams, then drove around and around till I came through the exit to the street. Well, that beam was a foot lower than the rest, kind of a gauge by design. The 3 sections of 12 foot pipe quickly were shorted up to 10 ft or so and just destroyed every pipelock seam making them useless. They were the ONLY sections of that diameter we had, and needed them for a shut-down job across town. I got my ass handed to me on that one, and I was working for an ex green beret who made Sargeant Carter look like a puss. If we only had a HR committee back then...LOL.
