You guys in Florida ready?

I lived in St Pete on 51st Ave North when we moved to Florida in '97. Gave my brother money and told him to buy me a house. What a shit hole that was, but after a bit of work it wasn't bad. I doubled my money when I sold it 3 years later and moved to Wesley Chapel.

I moved from Oh to my dads house on 55th ave and 43rd St N in 72, what a shithole that was, he use to shoot guns from the living rm straight shot through a bedroom, kit and into a bathroom shower that hed put phone books in lol, a few bullet holes in the walls too...and had mice & rats, I went from a half block away from where Andrew Jergens mansion was to that but I got to live with my dad 👍👍 Edit I had a Hell of a Lot of Fun though, dad moved a topless dancer in with me I already knew her though, she was 18 I was 15 💃💃😊

Well, hurricane Ian shifted again. It's now forecasted to go right over us, but as a Cat 1. Been through a couple of Category 1's and it's not bad.

If you've ever experienced a wicked windstorm right before a huge thunderstorm, that's what it's like, but only sustained for a longer period.

I've got an older couple that I went to their townhouse yesterday and found the compressor rotor locked, logged into my dealer website and not showing any in stock locally so I'll have to get one shipped in, I'm calling my dist. when they open and hoping the websites wrong or it's REALLY going to suck for that couple to be W/O AC during a storm, guess it's about the same as being W/O power and no back up

They should have a window unit as a backup. I've used mine twice in the last 12 years :)

I have 2 from a central install the owner wanted the 2 nice cond. window units hauled away, a 6K & 12K but we might be using them, my Bidoom lovin neighbor had Amazon deliv one yesterday, I'm thinking of Flipping a Coin for boarding windows up, we boarded 75% of the house for Irma but I really dont think it'll be as bad, est 58-73 mph winds

Praying for all those in the storms path. Latest track takes Ian into Tampa Bay and with a predicted storm surge of 5 to 10 feet, it will be devastating.

Inland and just a little south is as far as they need to go. The guy who bought my house emailed me yesterday asking what he should do and I told him I couldn't make that call for him, but if it were me I'd stay as my old house is very well built (good for up to 120mph).

Looks like the path has shifted again, so it looks like it'll go into Sarasota (just south of Tampa). Gotta keep a close eye because the path can change in a heartbeat (and it has before).

Update (1404ET):
Residents of coastal communities along Florida's west coast have been ordered to evacuate, especially ones
around the Tampa Bay region, ahead of menacing Hurricane Ian's landfall expected late Wednesday or early Thursday.
USA Today said Ian is a "major hurricane, with nothing to stop it from intensifying into a catastrophic Category 4 storm
before it hits Florida, where officials ordered 2.5 million people to evacuate."
