Allis Chalmers D10

Yeah, but we're talking brakes here. The one thing I have never chanced is brakes. I understand that's some benjamins, but stopping the tractor is kind of important.
Tractors really don't need brakes, you control the speed by throttle and clutch, only really needed on down hills. The right side sort of works.

I'd replace them. Replace the seals, put new shoes in, and forget about it.
Yup. Ordered. I have to do one side at a time otherwise the tractor cannot be supported or stable when on the jack and stand. Also, the right side has hydraulics to deal with, both brakes and the hydraullics have to be dealt with at the same time.

Making progress, one side brake and axle seal done. Took the seat off because right side has hydraulics and issues along with brake and seal. 1 wheel spinout bracket is still being worked on and wheel rim is getting paint. Next step is to finish the left side so I can turn the tractor around (engine off not to run a dry pump) and pull the right wheel off.

First broken bolts I had were for the seat, I was able to drill out and clean the threads.

Fuel line.

Dropped the hydraulic cylinders off for repair, next I need to get the lines off and then reseal the hydraulic controls. But before I can complete it I need to replace the right shoes and grease seal.

Sediment bowl filling with flakes? I remember mine about 50+ years ago paint started coming off of the inside of the tank, had to keep taking the bowl off & clean the screen.

It is metallic. I tried de rusting it, hard to find a shop that can boil a tank out.
