Here's a pic of my friends 56 Belair they restored right before my car went into his shop, it has a 70 LT1 350 and T350 but PO put a hyd flat tappet cam in instead of the solid lifter it came with, I guess Danchuk is one of the only repop places for Tri Five parts, I'll ask my friend if he has any parts that fit a 55 that he'd want to part with

Danchuk just closed their doors to retail sales. They kept the manufacturing open and are only selling wholesale now to other dealers.

The 2 brothers that own it are retiring. I think another vendor is buying the manufacturing line, but didn't want the very expensive CA real estate that the retail sales required.

Makes me wish I kept my fathers `54 back in `88 when my son was 10. :(
Got a deal on a `65 C-10 when he was 13 or 14 and him and his buddy tore it apart then, lost interest in it because, it was a pickup?
Had a chance to buy a `56 when he was 16 for $5K and passed. But. he bought a `76 Camaro instead.
He had the Camaro for about 3 years, sold it and bought a `66 Nova he still has to this day.
He`ll be 43 this year.

Funny how we still think young and our own kids are getting older.

My eldest son will be 39 this year.

We haven't done much on it for a couple months, but he's back to cleaning up the welds and tacking a few pinholes that grinding revealed on his patching he did over the winter.

Other than Chevelles, 55 Chevy has been my dream car. Keep at it. It’ll be badass when it’s done. You’d pretty much have to grease your hair back and roll a pack of smokes up in the sleeve of your t shirt when driving it.
