Shocks installed, both bumpers have arrived. I was waiting to install the bumpers until I finished a few paint touch ups. Got those done so the bumpers are next.

A couple of other things to address, have a leak in the power steering system, a leak from the transmission, and I need to finish the nut and bolt check. Hard to find the time as I’ve been working like gang busters to expand my online sales business.

Gotta eat, so business comes first, but as long as you keep at it, it'll get done.

How do you eat and elephant? One bite at a time. You'll get there, just keep plugging along.

Installing bumpers by yourself can be dicey. Don't scratch your paint ! :)

Ive always managed to do it without screwing things up so hopefully I can continue that streak.

Not sure what’s going on with the transmission. It leaked a ton of fluid out when I first pulled it out in 2008, just sitting on the floor attached to the engine. I figured it was the gasket but it’s something else. Seems to be leaking from the area of the front corner of the pan on the D side.

Selector seal?

That’s possible. It’s not leaking much so it’s kind of on the back burner for now

Check your hose clamps. I've had 2 fail this year. Seems they are not made as good as they once were. Rotted on the screw threads.

I’ll check them. I’m pretty sure I used some vintage stock Ford style tower clamps although I may not have had any that were big enough. It was a while ago.

Washers supplied for the bumper brackets with my body kit. Off to the hardware store.

i found the Totally Stainless body kit to be underwhelming. The bumper bolts are a good example. Not enough bolts or lock washers, and the regular washers they included were completely the wrong type and size. I had to toss them and spend $15 at the hardware store buying something that would work. One huge annoyance was the fact that the fender and hood bolts did not have the proper taper on the ends. Flat tipped bolts are impossible to start unless the holes are lined up perfectly.

I had forgotten about AMK Products but rediscovered them a few days ago and ordered various bolts.
They have all the correct hardware:

Amk is the shit, correct markings, shape, size and plating. They carry early, high dome, stainless capped bumper bolts and the 68 and later flat dome versions. Marked bags per application.

More progress.
