Ordered a hub for the Allis D10, will not fit, wrong part.

Alternator for the Satoh is toast, windings are shot. Need to find another or suitable replacement.

Such is the life of a person who fixes old stuff.
A Panhead owner I know modded a Chevy alt to the bike and been riding for years like that, even rides it to Sturgis where he owns some property, any chance of modding it to something?

No room under the hood of this little diesel, it has a 15 AMP alternator, I would like a 40 so I could run a pusher fan in front of the radiator.

Took the Chevelle out for a test drive (needed beer anyway 😁) and I really cant tell if the lock up works or not lol, I didn’t get on it unless I was in this industrial area and traffic never got above 40 mph on US19 maybe its doing its thing cause it did seem to put me back in the seat when I did get on it but really hard to tell, think Ill bypass the pres switch put it on a toggle and take it on the highway this weekend

Mine drops about 300 rpm when I lock it when running 60 mph or so.

Good day!
Got most of the funds for the Buick V6 Moldex crank and Carillo rods I sold.
Balance should be in my bank tomorrow.
Ordered parts for a couple of cars, picked up an old Sears belt/disk sander combo.
Trying to do one stupid thing, making a lower offer on a set of really neat SBC valve covers.
Widow wants $500!
I am offering $300, which is still ridiculous for valve covers.
But they really appeal to me. Two piece, finned removable top with the Chevy crossed flags and I have never seen another set like them.
I am certain they will clear my roller shaft rockers.
If I do get them I have to sell the mundane sets I have, but they will not fetch much.

These look pretty cool

Not bad, I was going to paint what I have to look similar.
Found a pic of the ones I am trying to buy, according to some guys at the HAMB $500 is actually a very fair price.
Fairly rare vintage Larson parts.
Just a bit rich for my blood.

I just sold one of those on CL. They used to sell a smaller black one and a bigger cast aluminum one. I had the big one and it was a great tool but used so infrequently that I couldn’t justify keeping it.

Those are beautiful!! They belong on a over the top hot rod imo, not under a hood. If I didn't have a nailhead destined for my '36 I'd love to have them.

Sitting on either side of the 4 x Weber IDF's my El Camino would knock people on their ass's IF I can get them.
Just cannot get myself to shell out $500, hoping to negotiate.

Block sanding the hood. Primed again recently and looking forward to putting some BC/CC down.

The daily driver is a 2015 Buick Verano with a 2.4 Ecotec. I love the car but in the 40+ thousand miles I’ve put on it, it’s had an issue with an exhaust variable timing solenoid once. Got the check engine light the other day and it was the same issue so fixed it free since the part has lifetime warranty from Autozone.

I bought cowl vent trash guards for the C10 which are wire mesh that keeps leaves and shit out of the cowl area. They were coated with what I think was EDP. Scuffed them and painted the other day. Installed tonight.
