Building Our Barndominium

That opening had a 30ā€ wide door with upper half window and a sash widow to the left, I couldnā€™t fit a refrigerator through the door and that started the remodel šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

BTDT. Our first house (early 90s) had an old ugly ass tile with cast iron tub where the finish was toast (and Lisa didn't like it), so I decided to redo the bathroom (guest bath), so I had to take the siding off, cut the wall open, remove studs, slide the 1 piece fiberglass shower/tub combo unit in, and then put it all back together. It was during the winter time and I a little time between jobs (about 3 days as I recall), so I got most of the remodel bath done in 3 days. It was a blast (not) sledging out the old cast iron tub.

So you took the tub out through the exterior wall? Wow! I donā€™t think Iā€™d ever thought of that šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ™‚

No other way to get it down the hallway and turn a corner. the fiberglass tub combo was 33" wide with flange and fit through the front door no problem, but no way to turn in the hallway.

That back door was a IIRC under 30ā€ screen with alum jealousy type shutter door and same for windows, No glass just screens and open wall studs so I ripped that shit out, insulated after reframing for dbl pane windows, insulated the ceiling and added 2 ac ducts, when our Rabbit Harvey goes to the Great Big Rabbit Hole in the Sky Iā€™m doing the same on the front porch but for now itā€™s a Harvey House, Heck heā€™s been here 8-9 yrs so he might out live me šŸ¤£

Doctor says an aid to prostrate health is sitting to pee.......the long tall bowl is the only way that works. I do a lot of peeing outside, so getting the back of my shoes soaked is not an option.

Interesting. Never heard that. I only like elongated bowls so my junk doesn't get crowded. Started installing the Kohler elongated comfort height bowls 4 houses ago.

yea, a bunch of benefits. Doc says that men retain the last bit of urine in their bladder when we stand to pee, that is really bad for the prostrate, sitting will get that out. ???

It was all new news to me too. Since it's so common, and I've got a bunch of the symptoms it was high on my question list.

My Dad got prostate cancer and it spread to bone cancer, so I get a PSA test annually to make sure I'm not caught looking the other way.
Ivermectin has been shown to shrink prostate cancer. I would take a 2 week dose every year (14 days X 2 pills a day) for preventive maintenance.
My brother-in-law had a bad case of prostate cancer and he took ivermectin along with the chemo.
The doctor (oncologist) was amazed how fast he got well :)
Maybe the yearly dosage can prevent it from occurring ? 24 pills are about $20

I don't take any medication at all if I can help it. I try to let my body do its' own thing and only intervene when it needs help.
