What’d you work on today?

We got the front sheetmetal and bumpers hung on it. Fenders are NOS that have been primed. Hood is a really nice early domed SS hood.

Grille and rear bumper are from a Malibu. We think some of the parts were taken with another SS car he sold several years ago.

You mentioned another 70 Malibu.... is that a hard top? Is it available? Condition?

Hardtop, 350 250hp, Saginaw 4spd, 10-bolt Red with black vinyl top and black bucket interior. (bucket seats not included, owner wants to keep them). Manual drum, manual steering. Solid car, but looks terrible. Owner sanded all the paint off it 35 years ago and left it in a shed unfinished.

Put 1 of the Evil Energy fitting on the hose to see how it was to work with, supposedly this is fine for trans fluid lines, I’ll soon find out, it’s Nylon braided over SS braided and the hose itself seems very nice but the fitting are almost Too Easy to put on the ends, hope they hold but some guys over at OCS say they’ve been on there cars in same application WO any trouble

Annual "Baseline" medical exam waste of the day.
Next year if they hand me that stupid "Which narcotic drugs are you overusing?" form I may just walk out.
Of course that is followed by "Are you a mental case?" on the other side.
No doctor present, some type of on-line nonsense.
They should be happy I did not fill out a patient satisfaction survey.

Sounded like a VA annual interview. I get them all worked up just to screw with them. Most nurses laugh, but there were a few that wanted to call a doctor until I told them I was screwing with them.

I only wasted half the day on medical, it was time......first at 9am went for a physical, blood test and the works. Nice doc, or NP, then she sent in a MA to clean my ears, flushed, flushed, and flushed. Probably a gallon of water went in and out, one ear cleared, pulled a hairy rabbit turd out, then she grabbed the other side and pushed the hairy rabbit turd in a bit further, now I can't hear shit out of my right ear. Sent me home with ear drops to keep it moist for several days and she'll try again. When she said "oops" I about lost it. Then went to the eye doc, and got dilated and can't see much in the sun. So, I spent half the day, can't see, can't hear. Good thing my taste buds are still working, sipping a pabst. Repainted the trailing arms because they were fish eyeing bigtime, probably impregnated 50 year old grease. Finally got a good finish on them. Setup the outer shafts in the trailing arms, and measured end-play, need to order a few shims tomorrow to dial them in perfect. Setting up an IRS is like nothing I've done before. Fun and interesting, but time consuming and costly.

I hauled another load of leaves to the brush site, did 2 more loads of laundry then was able to do a little ME stuff so I went over to the Chevelle to get a plan together to route a new trans fluid line for relocating the cooler, think I’ll run the line on top of the frame and use insul clamps to hold it in place, this Nylon braided hose is a bit flimsy and I want to keep it away from the headers

IMO the medical business is a corrupt, money grabbing sham. There was a time when doctors and nurses were respected and IMO the whole covid bull shit made them all look like asses. Sure, there are a few that respect their profession and really want to help but those in control of hospitals, insurance companies and government oversite organizations are all looking for the pharmaceutical and insurance kickbacks. I try my best to stay away from those money sucking vampire organizations. I am 57 and take no meds and for some reason when doctors hear that they can't believe it.

And that's the answer for everything. Got an ache? Here, take a pill. Dumb.

How about adjusting your lifestyle by eating and getting healthy. Too many today depend on fast food which has helped to create the fat ass / whale ass epidemic.

When Kathy was going to Moffitt USF cancer hosp. for Rad & Chemo treatments in a little less than 5 months, 4 days a week our ins paid them over $400K, co-pay I don't even think about, then after all the treatments they weren't having any bill out so they wanted her to get 1 Brain MRI and 1 (maybe 2?) Chest CT scans there,,,,,,,,they billed our ins over $26K for those cpl scans, IMHO Moffitt is Wonderful at working on cancer patients but the billing is Insane, Research costs $$$$$$, wonder what all those Drs would be doing if a cancer cure was found,, another reason IMO they'll never find a cure EDIT Never have a Cure

Exactly, why cure cancer when it is a cash cow.

Look at tv shows in the 70's, "most" people were slender and healthy and those that were obese were often made fun of. Look at today, many of us have a few extra pounds because of the processed foods sold at restaurants and grocery stores. Sedentary computer based jobs don't help.

That hosp is Huge and Packed with people from all over the world, they have hotels for people included special bus transportation, which is Wonderful but they really should just come up with a damn cure, these Drs make a Career of Cancer "Research"
